Admissions Information
- New Clients - It is very helpful for us if you have your pets' past history with you, or faxed in ahead of time. We need to know the vaccination history, medical history, and any previous vaccine / medication reactions. We will need you to fill out a "New Client Form" which will ask questions about you and your pets. To save time, the day of your appointment, please download this form and fill it out. Then either bring it with you that day, or fax it to us ahead of time. Fax: . If faxed, please note on form, the day and time of your scheduled appointment.
- Surgery Patients - Your pet needs to be fasted the night before surgery. Please don't give any food or water after midnight, and make sure they get nothing the morning of the surgical procedure. Generally, the advantages of having surgery far outweigh any risks involved. Furthermore, modern surgical techniques, equipment and new anesthetics have made surgery for pets safer (and less traumatic) than ever. However we strongly recommend that an intravenous catheter be inserted while your pet is under anesthesia. This allows us to administer fluids to your pet to prevent dehydration and if needed, quickly administer intravenous drugs to stabilize your pet's condition. The fee is $30.00 for the placement of an intravenous catheter and fluid administration. Note your pet's fur will need to be clipped for this procedure.
The problem with this method is that most of us today regard Link Exchange as nothing more than another form of spam. This results in a built up resistance in cooperation to take part in a link exchange program as it might indicate your website as a non professional website. All pets five years of age or older are required to have a presurgical blood test. This screen includes tests for anemia, kidney disease, diabetes and liver disease. This is necessary to ensure that you pet is in satisfactory health for the procedure. The fee is $71.25 for CBC / Vetscreen.
For pets five years of age and younger we recommend a CBC / miniscreen ($56.25). While not recommended, we will perform routine surgeries with no required blood tests.
Also available for your pet is a flouride treatment. Flouride helps prevent cavities and also slows downplaque and tartar accumulation. If your pet is having a dental procedure this will already be included. The fee is $9.00
Post surgical pain medications (analgesics) will be provided following surgical and other procedures which may be painful to your pet.
