Practice Manager
Roger Clarke - joined our team in 2005 as a Veterinarian Technician. At the end of 2006, he was offered the position of Practice Manager and began in January of 2007. Roger's management background includes Automotive Marketing / Training, Fulfillment Services, Advertising and Marketing Management. Roger has traveled to 49 of the 50 states with his automotive marketing / training background and has managed teams of 50- 150 people. He and his wife enjoy their two dogs, McDuff, a Scottish Terrier and Nutmeg, a mix breed dog, that they adopted while living in the Caribbean.
Division Managers
Carolenna DiMarco - Administrative / Financial Manger; joined the Cromwell Veterinary Hospital & Kennels LLC in 2000. She has worked for more than 25 years in the administrative field and has been our bookkeeper for five years. Carolenna is now our Financial Manager. She spends her off hours with husband, Tom, and two daughters, Kristin and Devin. She has had plenty of pet experience with her Golden, Samantha, 2 Welsh Corgis, Austin and Ms. Jersey, and two precocious felines, Moma and Piaget. She enjoys spending her summers at the shore.
Tamra Wallace - Kennel Manager; is a graduate of Becker College with an AS in Animal Science. She was employed with us for 8-1/2 years as a veterinary technician before moving to Maine in 2003. During the two years that Tamra spent in Maine, she completed a Professional Grooming Course offered through Groom 'N' Board Kennels in Bangor, ME. Tamra returned to Connecticut and Cromwell Veterinary Hospital & Kennels LLC in October of 2005, she is the Manager of our kennels as a professional groomer of cats and dogs. Tamra also spends time keeping her technician skills sharp by assisting in the hospital on occasion. Tamra is very happily married, she and her husband share their home with two dogs, Mopar and Gromit, and 2 cats, Catastrophy and Hemi. In their spare time they enjoy hiking, kayaking, and cruising in their '69 Plymouth Road Runner. Beep, Beep!
Cyndi Barraford - Technician Manager; Started with us in November 2002. Cyndi achieved her AAS in Veterinary Technology from St Petersburg College in July of 2005. She also completed the Veterinary Technician Certification Exam in June of 2005. Cyndi is the fourth member of our team to achieve certification! She is married and has five cats, Simon, Ezra, Henry, Jacqueline and Max. In her spare time she likes to travel and read.
Ellie Shurack - Client Care Manager; Has been at Cromwell Veterinary Hospital & Kennels LLC since 1994. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Animal Health Technology and was a veterinary technician for many years before joining us as a receptionist. In her spare time, Ellie enjoys working out and is very active in her condo association. Ellie enjoys listening to country music, shopping in New York, and is partial to Cairn Terriers.
Veterinary Technicians
Sandy Gonyea - Has been employed at Cromwell Vet Hospital & Kennels LLC since 1989. She received a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University as well as Veterinary Technician Certification in 2002. Her special interests within the practice include oncology, internal medicine, and surgical nursing. When Sandy isn't working, she enjoys photography, hiking, cooking and community service. When relaxing, she enjoys an occasional margarita. Sandy has many pets: two dogs, Aiki and Owen; three cats, Rizzo, Chipotle & Aidan; two birds Cheyanne, the Amazon parrot and Koko, the African Grey.
Rachael Chandler - Has been with Cromwell Veterinary Hospital & Kennels LLC since March 2000. She has one dog, Cosby, one cat, Buckie, and last but not least, an adorable daughter, Alexis. She loves to draw and paint in her spare time and is very talented. In early 2006, Rachael passed the Veterinary Technician Certification exam. She is the fifth member of our staff to achieve certification!
Elizabeth Bailly Simmons - A graduate from Quinnipiac University with a BS in Veterinary Technology. She passed the State of Connecticut Technician Certification Exam, in June 2004. She has six cats, Fred, Peanut, Cheetah, Miracle, Morgan and Gwendolyn.
Caitlin McAuliffe - started out working with us as a kennel associate and is now a member of our nursing staff. She has a six-year old Australian Kelpi dog named Lucas and an eight-year old Sealpoint Siamese cat named Peek-a-boo. Caitlin also enjoys Irish step dancing, photography and coffee. In the future she hopes to own and run her own kennel and have a pet photography studio.
Jennifer Drexler - has been a member of our staff since May of 2005. She has three cats, Critter, Gizmo, and Snowball, and a blue parakeet, Barry. In her spare time Jenn enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and watching sports...especially the Red Sox!!!
Sherri Smith - Joined our staff in September 2004. Her past experience has been in the accounting field. Sherri has two dogs, two cats, two horses and two kids. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding and is involved in Pony club and Girl Scouts.

Client Care Associates
Cathy Brown - joined our staff in April of 2002 as a receptionist and is cross training as a veterinary assistant. Prior to joining our team she worked as a leasing administrator in the communication and office equipment field. Cathy has a six-year old German Shepherd named Maggie. When not at work she enjoys anything outdoors, especially, hiking and white water rafting.
Trisha Seckla - Has been a member of our staff since 2003. She has three cats Bill, Pumbaa and the Princess (Mama Kitty). She is a dedicated Red Sox and NASCAR fan. She loves spending time with family and friends. She also loves to travel, and making people laugh.
Natalie Mendoza - A student attending Tunxis Community College, majoring in Business. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Her pets include a leopard gecko named Iggy, five African dwarf frogs; Nemo, Donny, Chachi, Hewie and Dewie. She also has two pugs, Rafy and Lola.

Darlene Dobkiewicz - She has been our primary cat caregiver in Simba Suites since April of 1998. Darlene has an Associates degree in Science from Middlesex Community College, in Middletown, CT. In her spare time Darlene enjoys movies, music, cooking, and reading.

Groomer
Amy O'Toole - She joined our team in the fall of 2002. In 1980, Amy graduated from the Advanced Course in Dog Grooming at the Edwardian School of Dog Grooming located in New Canaan, CT. Amy has 26 years of experience in the field of grooming. Amy is the former owner of Amy's Udder Joy Exotic Animal Farm Park & Nature Center, Cromwell, CT. She is presently the proud owner of two very spoiled pets...Cricket (an Afghan) and Evo (a Shepherd).
